Tailor sign-up & onboarding

The Tailor acts as the primary administrator of the tailoring company within DressMeApp. Their onboarding process is foundational, as it defines how the entire business will operate on the platform, including pricing logic, measurement standards, agent permissions, and payment readiness.

The Tailor begins by creating a personal user account.

  • Navigate to the Sign-Up page.

  • Select the preferred application language.

  • Enter personal details:

    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email Address
    • Mobile Number
    • Password
  • Enter a Referral Code (if available).

  • Verify the email address by clicking the verification link sent to the registered inbox.

  • Log in with the email address and password, then confirm the login with the 6-digit code emailed to you. The code is valid for 10 minutes.

Once the login is confirmed, the Tailor is guided automatically into the onboarding wizard.

Step 2: Guided onboarding wizard (6 steps)

Section titled “Step 2: Guided onboarding wizard (6 steps)”

The onboarding wizard walks the Tailor through a fixed sequence of configuration steps. Each step must be completed to ensure the platform is correctly set up before operational use.

In this step, the Tailor defines the legal and operational identity of the tailoring business.

  • Legal Company Name
  • Preferred Base Currency
  • Company Email Address
  • Company Phone Number
  • Full Business Address:
    • Country
    • City
    • Address
    • Postal Code

This information is used across the platform and appears on customer-facing documents such as quotes and order summaries.

The branding section allows the Tailor to personalize the customer-facing experience.

  • Enter the company website URL.
  • Upload the company logo.

The logo and branding details are displayed on digital quotes, order confirmations, and structured email communications sent to customers.

This step defines baseline pricing templates used throughout the system.

The Tailor configures three standard pricing tiers:

  • Low Tier: Entry-level fabrics and pricing
  • Medium Tier: Mid-range fabrics and pricing
  • High Tier: Premium / Luxury fabrics and pricing

Each tier defines an average production cost and customer selling price for standard garment types.

In this step, the Tailor begins building the supplier ecosystem used by the salesforce.

  • Enter Manufacturer Name
  • Enter Manufacturer Website URL
  • Upload Manufacturer Logo

For each manufacturer, the Tailor:

  • Applies one of the predefined pricing templates (Low / Medium / High)
  • Optionally customizes production cost and/or customer price per garment type

This ensures consistent pricing logic across agents while allowing controlled flexibility.

If the Tailor operates with a sales team, agents can be added during onboarding or later from the Settings area.

For each agent, the Tailor defines:

  • Agent Information:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email Address
    • Mobile Number
    • Agent Type (Salaried Agent or Freelance Agent)
  • Permissions:
    • Self-Approved Sales (Yes / No)
    • Show Indicative Production Cost (Yes / No)
    • Show Indicative Customer Price (Yes / No)
  • Pricing Configuration:
    • Fine-tuned pricing per manufacturer, aligned to the agent’s sales strategy

These settings control what the agent can see, approve, and sell within the platform.

This step standardizes how measurements are captured across the business.

  • Select the preferred measurement unit:
    • Centimeters or Inches
  • Edit the standard measurement list:
    • Add measurements
    • Remove measurements
    • Reorder measurements

This ensures all agents follow a consistent measurement structure when capturing customer data.

In the final step, the Tailor reviews the commercial setup.

  • Review the auto-assigned Starter Subscription
  • Review any costs associated with additional users
  • The account starts on the 30-day free trial of the Starter plan. Click Go to dashboard to finish onboarding.
