User interface overview

The DressMeApp user interface is designed to support structured, repeatable workflows while remaining intuitive for daily use in a tailoring environment. The layout follows a clear separation between global actions (top bar) and operational workflows (left navigation menu), ensuring users can focus on the task at hand without unnecessary complexity.

The top bar is visible on all pages and provides access to global actions and system-level information. It remains consistent across the platform to ensure familiarity and ease of navigation.

The Top Bar contains:

  • Upgrade Button
A direct link to subscription and billing management. This allows Tailors or authorized users to review their current plan, upgrade or downgrade subscriptions, and manage billing details.
  • Support / Help Icon
Provides access to the documentation area, knowledge base, and support resources. This section is intended to guide users through platform features, workflows, and best practices.
  • Notifications (Bell Icon)
Displays system-generated alerts such as payment confirmations, order status changes, or important platform updates. Notifications ensure users remain informed without relying on external communication channels.
  • Profile Menu
Displays the user’s profile picture and name. From this menu, users can access personal settings, view application information (About), and securely log out of the platform.

The left side navigation menu is the primary operational hub of DressMeApp. It reflects the natural flow of a tailoring business, from sales to production, and groups related functions logically.

The menu includes:

  • Dashboard
Provides a high-level snapshot of the business, including active orders, recent activity, and key performance indicators relevant to the user’s role.
  • Orders
Central workspace for managing quotes, in-progress orders, and historical orders. This is where most day-to-day sales activity occurs.
  • Customers
A centralized directory of customer profiles, including personal details, contact information, and measurement records.
  • Fabrics
A searchable library of fabrics, organized by manufacturer and garment type, used during order configuration.
  • Manufacturers
Management area for fabric suppliers, including cost structures and pricing rules. Access and edit rights depend on the user role.

The Guides describe the core operational processes within DressMeApp, aligned to the left menu. These workflows are designed to be consistent, guided, and repeatable, ensuring that every user follows the same structured approach regardless of experience level.
