Freelance agent invitation & onboarding

Freelance Agents are independent partners who operate under a dedicated Mini-Company setup while routing production to a parent Tailor.

1. Invitation process

The Tailor invites a Freelance Agent via Settings → Agents, selecting Freelance Agent as the agent type.

The Tailor defines:

• Agent Information:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Mobile Number
  • Agent Type: Freelance Agent
• Permissions:
  • Self-Approved Sales (Yes / No)
  • Show Indicative Production Cost (Yes / No)
  • Show Indicative Customer Price (Yes / No)
• Pricing:
  • Fine-tuned pricing per manufacturer aligned to the freelance sales model

2. Freelance agent onboarding flow

The Freelance Agent receives an invitation email and completes a dedicated onboarding wizard:

• Step 1: Personal Information
  • Confirm title, first name, last name
  • Email address and phone number
  • Upload profile picture (optional)
• Step 2: Mini-Company Profile
  • Legal Company Name
  • Preferred Currency
  • Company Email Address
  • Country, City, Address, Postal Code
  • Website URL
  • Company Logo (displayed on customer communications)
• Step 3: Summary & Subscription
  • Review the auto-assigned Starter Subscription (single-user)
  • Review subscription costs after the trial period

3. Free trial & payments

• The Freelance Agent enters a free trial period.
• During the trial, payments cannot be collected via DMA / Stripe.
• Payments must be handled offline (Cash, POS, Bank Transfer) until the subscription is activated and Stripe is connected.

4. Workspace & capabilities

After onboarding, the Freelance Agent workspace includes:

• Dashboard: Personal sales performance overview
• Orders: Limited to the Freelancer’s own orders
• Customers: Limited to the Freelancer’s own customers
• Fabrics:
  • Can add fabrics via the Fabrics section
  • Can add fabrics dynamically during order creation
  • Newly added fabrics are shared across agents
• Manufacturers: View-only access

Restrictions:

• Access to their own Freelance Company settings only
• No access to Parent Tailor company settings
• All orders are legally and operationally linked to the Parent Tailor for production
